  12. OCEAN SOFTWARE SHIPS COMPLETE ACCESS v1.1 for NEXTSTEP

  15. August 10, 1995 - Jacksonville, Florida - Ocean Software, Inc. is
  16. pleased to announce that Complete Accessi version 1.1 for the
  17. NEXTSTEP environment will be released at ObjectWorld on August 15.
  18. Complete Access is a database query, reporting, and decision making
  19. application which works in conjunction with NeXT's Enterprise
  20. Objects Frameworki to generate sophisticated documents for the
  21. end-user.

  23. Complete Access enables both professionals and generalists to create
  24. hierarchical reports, forms, columnar reports, form letters,
  25. envelopes, and labels quickly and easily.  The application can also
  26. produce summary pages to display aggregate and/or calculated values
  27. without showing the individual records from which they were derived.

  29. New features found in Complete Access v1.1 include:
  30. * Full calculation support
  31. * An optional SQL Editor giving users the ability to type straight
  32.   SQL to the database
  33. * The ability to drag and drop EOF models from any location into
  34.   Complete Access

  36. Database reporting applications typically create static documents
  37. which require continuous query execution to be modified.  Complete
  38. Access documents are dynamic, allowing the user to perform "what-if"
  39. scenarios on data by omitting, finding, sorting, and applying various
  40. filters to browse a subset of data retrieved with a database query
  41. or text file import.  Multiple documents may reference the results
  42. of a single query or import and multiple query results and imports
  43. are easily combined.
